Count words, characters, sentences, and paragraphs.
Word count matters more than you might think. Blog posts need enough content to rank in search — typically 1,000 to 2,000 words for most topics. Meta descriptions must stay under 160 characters or Google cuts them off with an ellipsis. Twitter/X posts cap at 280 characters. Academic papers have strict word limits. This tool gives you all the numbers at once as you type: words, characters (with and without spaces), sentences, paragraphs, and an estimated reading time based on an average adult reading pace of 225 words per minute.
